Max's Special Fund
Established by Larry & Patricia Rodriguez in honor of their beloved dog Max, the fund makes the gift of health possible for Oahu’s canine friends in need of specialized medical care beyond what the Hawaiian Humane Society can offer. This has included life-saving surgeries, heart worm treatments and other intensive care so that we can make as many dogs eligible for adoption as possible. Specialty health care often costs hundreds of dollars and is only made possible through the generous support of Max’s Fund contributors. Give a gift today that helps dogs in need of the most care.
Mission Statement: The Hawaiian Humane Society is dedicated to promoting the human-animal bond and the humane treatment of all animals.

The Hawaiian Humane Society is an education and advocacy organization that shelters, protects, rescues, reunites and rehomes animals. It is Oʻahu's largest animal welfare organization that is a resource for all animals.
Established in 1883, the nonprofit organization is not a chapter of any group as there is no national humane society. Every gift to the Hawaiian Humane Society stays in Hawaii for the benefit of local people and animals.
