Aloha volunteers,

2017 was an amazing year and together we accomplished so much for the animals, including finding 7,133 new homes though adoption, preforming 7,778 sterilization surgeries and fostering 1,269 animals in need.

We are excited to see what 2018 has in store and look forward to working with you to advance our mission toward a more compassionate community for all.

Please join us in welcoming our new volunteer and outreach coordinator, Sharon Sagayadoro! Sharon comes to the Hawaiian Humane Society with over five years of human resources and team management experience. She's excited about her position with the Society and looks forward to making worthwhile contributions to the team. Make sure to stop by the volunteer center next time you are on campus to meet Sharon.

As a reminder, our Adoption Center will be closed to the public on Christmas and New Year’s day. Volunteers are welcome to spend both holidays with the animals between the hours of 8 am and 2 pm.

Thank you again for all that you to for the people and animals of Hawaii. Wishing you a joyous holiday season!

Welcome, Sharon Sagayadoro!

The Hawaiian Humane Society is an education and advocacy organization that shelters, protects, rescues, reunites and rehomes animals. It is Oahu's only open-admission shelter that welcomes all animals. Established in 1883, this non-profit organization is not a chapter of any group as there is no national humane society. Gifts made directly to this independent, local organization help local animals and people. Visit HawaiianHumane.org to learn more.
