Aloha volunteers,

As we enter the holiday season, we'd like to thank each and every volunteer who dedicated time to help Oahu's animals this year. Volunteers have helped in many capacities including opening their home to foster animals in need, waking up early to help clean at the shelter before we open for Adoptions, assisting with data entry and helping with events such as PetWalk and Santa Paws. However, volunteer help is still needed in many areas including dog walking and dog washing especially during the holiday season. Schedule your next visit to the shelter by logging in to your volunteer account on Volgistics

As a reminder, our Adoption Center will be closed on Thanksgiving day but volunteers will still be able to come spend the holiday with the animals between the hours of 8 am to 2 pm.

The Hawaiian Humane Society is an education and advocacy organization that shelters, protects, rescues, reunites and rehomes animals. It is Oahu's only open-admission shelter that welcomes all animals. Established in 1883, this non-profit organization is not a chapter of any group as there is no national humane society. Gifts made directly to this independent, local organization help local animals and people. Visit HawaiianHumane.org to learn more.
