May is National Pet Month, and celebrating your pets is as easy as regularly spending time with them. Bonding with your pets can be as simple as interacting with them around the house, giving them toys that require them to use more advanced problem-solving skills, going on regular walks or adventures outdoors or socializing your pets with other animals. Keeping your pets engaged, both mentally and physically, contributes to their growth and living well-rounded lives.

If you're looking to be a first-time pet owner or adding another furry friend to your family, consider adopting any of the Society's available animals. The Hawaiian Humane Society regularly has a variety of dogs, cats and small animals all patiently waiting for new homes.

Every weekend, Hawaiian Humane travels to different petco and PetSmart locations islandwide, hosting adoption events that you can attend. Check here to see when we'll be at one nearest you. You cal also visit cats that are available for adoption at various petco and PetSmart locations every day of the week and adopt.
